The following national survey is part of the EPA-funded project REMARC (Remediation of Faulty Septic Tanks: A Mixed Methods Approach to Environmental Risk Communication), involving researchers from UCD, UCC and TU Dublin. The study aims to examine current behaviours, awareness levels and views regarding management of domestic wastewater treatment systems.
The following national survey is part of the EPA-funded project REMARC (Remediation of Faulty Septic Tanks: A Mixed Methods Approach to Environmental Risk Communication), involving researchers from UCD, UCC and TU Dublin. The study aims to examine current behaviours, awareness levels and views regarding management of domestic wastewater treatment systems.
The survey has five sections and will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. Your participation will help aid design of evidence-based policy/supports for Irish system users and is hugely valued.
Target audience: residents of the Republic of Ireland aged 18+ whose households use a domestic wastewater treatment system (e.g. septic tank).

Confidentiality: all survey data is confidential and anonymous; no participant details will be shared with any third party or made identifiable upon publication of study results.
