Proposal on the future of the current Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in Newbury town centre |
We are seeking the views of local residents, businesses, agencies and visitors to Newbury on the current Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) and the future of the PSPO, which is due to expire on 31 January 2027. There are two options:
- The PSPO can be extended for a further three years; or
- The PSPO is not extended and so it will no longer be in place after 31 January 2027
To fully understand the proposal, we would advise that the background information is read before completing the survey.
The survey should take approximately five minutes to complete, and your responses will help us to finalise the details of the PSPO.
If you have any queries, please contact the Building Communities Together Team at westberksbct@westberks.gov.uk or call 01635 551111.
The survey is open until midnight on Monday, 9 November 2026.
