Are you involved in monitoring mammals in the European Alps?

The AlpsLife project, co-funded by the Interreg Alpine Space programme, seeks to gather information on long-term mammal monitoring schemes and create a common framework for transnational interoperability. Note that, by “long-term monitoring scheme” we intend a repeated, systematic method of collecting data in a defined sampling location for at least five years (e.g., that also includes projects where the same location was sampled after a 4-year break and projects that have not yet run for five years, but will have a duration of five or more years). We invite you to complete the survey, even if you don't actively monitor mammals: such input will help identify areas with limited mammal data, highlighting where major monitoring efforts are needed to implement efficient conservation strategies.
You can complete the survey in English, Italian, German, French or Slovenian by selecting the preferred language from the top right corner of the first page.

Please note that the survey can be completed in multiple sessions, as it includes an automatic save feature to keep track of your progress. Depending on the monitoring techniques in use in your area, the survey may take between 5 to 20 minutes to finish. After submitting your responses, you will not be able to access or modify your answers.

In case you require any additional information, or you meet any issues while compiling the survey, please contact Michela Corsini at michela.corsini@eurac.edu
