Survey: SME Freight and Logistics (F&L) |
Understanding the Freight and Logistics Sector role within the Green Economy

Why is this survey needed?
Businesses are increasingly being called upon to address climate change and reduce wider environmental impacts of their activities. The freight and logistics sector is undergoing major changes, spurred by increasing green regulations (e.g. ultra-low emissions zone expansion) and innovations in working practices (e.g. through IT, fleet and consolidation). Yet, the sector remains a major polluting industry, with more changes required to meet UK climate change and wider environmental emissions targets. Testing economic times make it even more challenging for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) to invest. This survey is for freight and logistics businesses to help to uncover what support the sector needs and how businesses plan to assess and finance changes to become greener.
Who should complete the survey?
All freight and logistics companies are invited to participate, particularly those in West London and the surrounding area. Even if you feel your business can't or doesn't prioritise ‘net zero’ or the environment at the moment or are based outside of West London, we still encourage you to complete this survey as it will help us understand levels of activity in the sector overall.
