Herts SU is recruiting students to become Student Sleuths, helping us better understand and improve the student experience across our services. Student Sleuths will act as anonymous mystery shoppers, engaging with services and activities within EleHouse, The Forum, Community Events, and the Advice Centre.

As a Student Sleuth, you will be asked to visit and engage with selected services and complete a structured feedback form after your visit. Your feedback will help Herts SU identify strengths, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance the student experience.

The information you provide will be analysed by the Herts SU Insight Team and will be provided to relevant service managers to help inform service improvements. Your feedback will be anonymised before being shared, and all reasonable steps will be taken to ensure that you cannot be identified from your responses.

We will ask for your Student ID number and contact details to manage participation in the programme, arrange mystery shopping activities, and process the delivery of incentives. These details will be stored securely and will not be included in any reports or publications.

For each completed mystery shopping activity and feedback submission, you will receive a £40 Love2Shop voucher. Participation opportunities may vary across the duration of the project, and vouchers will only be issued following submission of the required feedback.

To maintain the integrity of the programme, Student Sleuths must not disclose their involvement in the project to staff members during mystery shopping activities unless instructed otherwise by the Herts SU Insight Team.

Participation in the Student Sleuths programme is entirely voluntary. Choosing not to participate, or withdrawing at a later date, will not affect your access to Herts SU services, activities, support, representation, or future opportunities to get involved with Herts SU.

You may withdraw from the programme at any time by contacting the Herts SU Insight Team. Any feedback already submitted before withdrawal may still be used in anonymised analysis and reporting.
