PeatSense aims to:
  1. Share knowledge and data to build consensus and ensure continuity after peatland projects and other initiatives conclude.
  2. Simplify communication between different stakeholders. i.e. knowing “who does what”.
  3. Facilitate peatland condition monitoring at the national scale using remote sensing data.
PeatSense is developed by the AI2Peat Project, funded by Taighde Éireann - Research Ireland under grant number 22/NCF/FD/10969. The AI2Peat consortium is composed of CeADAR (Ireland's Centre for Applied AI), iCRAG (Research Ireland's Centre for Applied Geosciences), and the NPWS (National Parks and Wildlife Services).
