OVERVIEW

The Verdantix Climate Innovation Awards EMEA recognize the people and organizations actively working t develop and implement innovative solution to address climate change. The Verdantix Climate Innovation Awards EMEA 2023 winners will be announced at the Verdantix Climate Summit EMEA taking place in London, 30 November 2023.

Recognizing individuals or organizations that have demonstrated exemplary leadership in leveraging digital technologies to drive sustainability and climate action, accelerating the transition to a low-carbon economy and promoting sustainable practices.

Climate Innovator Rising Star Award.
Acknowledging emerging talents and promising individuals who have shown exceptional commitment, innovation, and potential in advancing sustainability across various sectors.

Scope 3 Metrics and Reporting Award.
Recognizing advancements in Scope 3 data collection, analysis, modeling, or reporting that improve a business' understanding of climate change impacts, inform decision-making, and facilitate the development of effective climate strategies.

Sustainable Supply Chain Management Award.
Highlighting outstanding achievements and innovative practices in sustainable supply chain management, including responsible sourcing, ethical procurement, traceability, transparency, and collaboration to minimize environmental impacts and promote social responsibility.

Energy Transition Excellence Award.
Celebrating organizations or initiatives that have made significant contributions to the transition from fossil fuels to renewable and clean energy sources, driving the decarbonization of the energy sector and advancing the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Biodiversity Conservation Award.
Recognizing efforts and initiatives that protect, conserve, and restore biodiversity, including habitat preservation, species conservation, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable land management practices.

Green Building and Infrastructure Award (including smart buildings).
Highlighting exceptional achievements in sustainable building design, energy-efficient construction, green infrastructure, smart buildings, and sustainable urban development that reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions from the built environment.

Circular Economy Innovation Award.
Recognizing innovative initiatives that embrace the principles of the circular economy, promoting resource conservation, waste reduction, recycling, and product lifecycle extension, and contributing to a more sustainable and regenerative economy.

Climate Adaptation and Resilience Award
Celebrating projects that utilise technologies to enhance the resilience of communities, ecosystems, infrastructure, and industries to the impacts of climate change, such as extreme weather events, sea-level rise, or temperature fluctuations.

Social Impact in Climate Innovation Award.
Celebrating initiatives that address climate change while also creating positive social impact, such as projects that promote social equity, empower vulnerable communities, support sustainable livelihoods, or enhance climate justice.

Net Zero Strategy of the Year.
Recognizing organizations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment and innovation in developing and implementing comprehensive net-zero strategies to achieve carbon neutrality and contribute to global climate goals.
