We want to hear from you! East Suffolk Council and Gisleham Parish Council are working together to put a new play area in Dale End. The play is going to be a fun, safe, and exciting space where children and young people can play, explore, and socialise. This consultation is all about making sure the play area meets your needs and is a place where you will want to spend time.
Your views are really important to us, and we want to make sure your voices are heard in the choosing of the design. Please take a moment to share your thoughts below!
Introduction
We have invited different play companies to design Dale End play area, they have been asked to design an inclusive and accessible play area for ages 3 to 12 year olds and the designs should include safety flooring that makes the site accessible for wheeled users.

We want to know what you like and dislike about each of the designs and which one is your favourite one. Things to consider

- Think about what you like to do: First, think about your favourite things to do when you're playing. Do you like to climb, slide, swing, or run around? Maybe you like to pretend you're a superhero or an explorer. The play area should have fun things that you enjoy doing!

- Safety first: Next, we want to make sure it's safe. This means soft ground, like rubber , so if you fall, it won't hurt too much. Also, we want to make sure the equipment is not too high or wobbly.

- Different areas for different games: Good play areas have lots of different parts, so you can do lots of things. Maybe one place to swing, another to climb, and even a space for games like tag or hide-and-seek.

- Colourful and exciting: A fun play area could be bright and colourful or it could have a natural feel with colours that are in keeping with the area! How would you like the play ground to look?

- Room to move around: We don’t want it to be too crowded. There should be enough space for everyone to play, so you don’t bump into each other too much.

- Think about friends, siblings and other young people: is there something for different ages groups, or for people with different interests to do? Is there something that your friends, siblings and other young people would like to do?

For the Parents and Guardians answering the questions, we would like to know your thoughts on the play area designs too!
