The Study

Purpose

Following the successful BVCA and Level 20 Diversity and Inclusion Survey in 2020 we are now launching the 2022 Diversity and Inclusion Survey.

Benefits
  • To measure progress made in the industry since 2020.
  • To provide a helpful management tool to enable General Partners (GPs) to track and monitor the diversity of their staff with respect to gender and ethnicity by seniority and function.
  • To provide a standard dataset and tool for GPs to track and benchmark themselves against their peers.
Details

The survey, which requests data as at 30th June 2022, is being circulated to all GP members of BVCA and Level 20. The data will be jointly analysed by BVCA and Level 20.

The survey has seven sections:

1.      Contact information
2.      Firm overview
3.      Staffing by Gender
4.      Staffing by Ethnicity
5.      Talent Management
6.      Monitoring of other characteristics
7.      Focus Groups

The deadline for completing the survey is 18th November 2022 and our aim is to publish the findings in early 2023.

If you would prefer to complete the survey via an excel template, do contact us at research@bvca.co.uk or research@level20.org

The names of all contributing GP firms will be listed within the final report unless the BVCA or Level 20 are notified by a GP firm of their wish to be excluded from such list by 18th November 2022 by emailing research@bvca.co.uk or research@level20.org.

Data Security

All data provided by individual firms will be deleted once the aggregated analyses for the industry along with industry peer groups and the final report are produced.
