Blaby District Residents' Survey 2024/25

It is part of our vision to be driven by what matters to our residents - your views are important to us and we want to know what you think about how we deliver our services and how we spend our money. It is essential for us to understand your priorities as residents so we know best where to focus resources and work with the community and partners in doing our best to deliver these.

Funding continues to be challenging with uncertainty over allocations from central Government and the rising cost of living as well as the lasting negative impact of the COVID 19 Pandemic. All these issues affect our budget and our ability to deliver services. While we do receive money from central Government annually we also have to make money from various services offered. We also receive a proportion of the annual Council Tax requirement which works out at around £3.53 per week for the average household. We administer and collect Council Tax but the bulk of the money (74%) goes to Leicestershire County Council, with allocations also to Leicestershire Police, Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and your local Parish Council.

However, despite our financial constraints, we are confidently looking forward to the future with plans and ambitions to ensure Blaby District remains a great place to live, work and visit, with thriving communities and successful businesses. Help us achieve those ambitions and spend a few moments answering the questions in this survey.
