The Study

Purpose

To revive and enhance the "Women in Limited Partners 2019" report, we are now launching the 2023 LPs Diversity and Inclusion Survey.

Benefits

To measure progress made in the industry since 2019.
To provide a helpful management tool to enable Limited Partners (LPs) to track and monitor the diversity of their private capital investment team with respect to gender and ethnicity by seniority.
To provide a standard dataset and tool for LPs to track and benchmark themselves against their peers, if the sample size is sufficient.

Details

The survey, which requests data as at 30th September 2023, is being circulated to all LPs members of BVCA. The data will be analysed by BVCA.

The survey has six sections:

1. Contact information

2. Firm overview

3. Staffing by Gender

4. Staffing by Ethnicity

5. Monitoring of other characteristics

6. Focus Groups

The deadline for completing the survey is 18th December 2023 and our aim is to publish the findings in early 2024.

If you would prefer to complete the survey via an excel template, do contact us at research@bvca.co.uk.

The names of all contributing LP firms will be listed within the final report unless the BVCA is notified by a LP firm of their wish to be excluded from such list by 18th December 2023 by emailing research@bvca.co.uk.

Data Security

All data provided by individual firms will be deleted once the aggregated analyses for the industry along with industry peer groups and the final report are produced.
