The North East Combined Authority (NECA) has commissioned Lichfields to assess the future need for employment land and premises across all seven constituent authorities. The study will consider demand across different sectors, such as office, warehousing and manufacturing, over the period to 2045 and will help to inform the development of a Spatial Development Strategy for the NECA area.

This survey aims to capture the views of local businesses regarding employment land issues in the area, and will be used to inform the Lichfields study. It has been designed to maintain participants’ anonymity and, as such, no personal identifiers are sought from respondents.

The survey will be open until Tuesday 23 January 2026.
